MINUTES OF THE COMMISSION MEETING

At 6:10 p.m., the special meeting of the Commission was called to order by Chairman Burnett. He made the following motion for closed session, “Pursuant to Virginia Code section 2.2-3711(A)(1), I move that the Commission convene a closed meeting for the purpose of the discussion and consideration of prospective candidates for employment.” The motion was seconded by Commissioner Miller and all present responded, “Aye.”
Upon emerging from closed session, the Chairman made the following statement, “I hereby certify, pursuant to VA Code Section 2.2-3712, that to the best of each member’s knowledge (i) only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under this chapter and (ii) only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the closed meeting was convened were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the public body.” The certification was confirmed by unanimous roll call vote.

There being no further business, it was moved, seconded, and carried to adjourn the February 3, 2011 special meeting of the Commission at 8:10 p.m.
